A dream partially died today.For the past few months, I've been working to prove to my superiors that I'm worthy of a promotion. The job came open, I ran as hard as I could, and today, I was told that I did not get it, someone from outside the company was being brought in.
I am thankful that I still have a job, and for everything that I have been blessed with.
Monday, will be better.

After the years of being promised promotions and reclassification my light is all but about out in my job. Somedays I think I just show up here to get away from everything else in life.
It's hard to think you have been passed up for a job that went to an external candidate. Hopefully something else will open up for you soon and you can climb another rung up the ladder.

That's what my Mom used to say to me whenever I suffered a disappointment.
You'll be mad for awhile, feel unappreciated, think about quitting, then you will get over it when something comes along that excites your passion.
As for me, it was easy to do what I did while I believed in it, but when I stopped believing, their mojo quit working.
Was the restaurant in the Plaza Towers called King's? With Cheese toasties?
